Leonardo Workshop

Name
Workshop: Who Assures AI? Understanding Specific Threats and Countermeasures to AI Systems

Location
Hall 9

Description

The potential benefits AI can bring to society as a whole is difficult to overstate, from autonomous navigation of an aircraft to control of power and water infrastructure. In recent year’s development of artificial neural networks and the release of generative AI have shown the impressive capabilities of AI in emulating human decisions. This workshop will delve into safety and security critical AI use cases and look at how such AI solutions might be exploited by a future cyber adversary to highlight how assurance in such environments might be achieved. It will do this by delving into an Artificial Neural Network use case within the CNI sector (specifically the power generation and transmission area) to expand on how such an ANN might be exploited by adversaries, the feasibility of such exploitation and how assurance can mitigate such threats across the solutions lifecycle.
