Tommy is the Chief Cryptographer at HP Security Lab, with responsibility for cryptography engineering governance and cryptography technology strategy across HP. Tommy has spent his career in cryptographic security. Prior to joining HP in 2022, Tommy worked for 20 years as a cryptographer in NCSC and its predecessor organisation CESG, becoming a research leader and technical director. As Technical Director for International Standards he led a team across internet, mobile and cryptography standards, with which he helped increase the prominence of standards in UK national strategy.
