Matt Collins is the Deputy National Security Adviser - Intelligence, Defence and Security in the Cabinet Office.

Matt has been in the Civil Service for 17 years, most recently in his role as Director for Intelligence, Technology and Security within the National Security Unit in the Cabinet Office. The portfolio covered counter-terrorism and serious and organised crime, oversight of
intelligence finance, critical and emerging technology and digital, data and intelligence policy.

Matt is a one-time professional basketball player, a keen runner and cyclist and has an MSc in Criminology from the London School of Economics.
