Stacie Hoffmann is Head of Digital Standards at the UK’s Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT). She is an internationally recognised expert on the intersection of technology and policy, specialising in the technical standardisation of critical and emerging technologies and Internet governance. An accomplished author and public speaker, most notably she is known as lead author of 'Standardising the splinternet: How China’s technical standards could fragment the Internet'. Before joining DSIT, Stacie worked as a consultant specialising in tech policy and cyber security. She was a regular news commentator in the UK and abroad, including on BBC World News. She holds a Master's Degree in Media Governance (Internet Governance) from the London School of Economics.
