Sarah Beckel serves as the Deputy Technical Director for Cybersecurity at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). Ms. Beckel is focused on Cyber R&D, Emerging Technology and Capability Governance to advance the security of the Nation’s Critical Infrastructure. Previously, Ms. Beckel led teams responsible for advanced analytics, and data management at CISA. Her career includes experience in systems engineering, software development, program management, and cybersecurity operational analysis and assessments. Ms. Beckel started her career as a Surface Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy after graduating from the University of Virginia. She earned a Master’s degree in Engineering Management with a concentration in Homeland Security and Emergency Management at The George Washington University.
