Mike has spent 15 years in range of security roles for the UK Government. He has accountability for the security of NHS England’s systems and the cyber resilience of the wider Health & Social Care System.
Prior to this Mike spent six years as the Head of Cyber Security Operations and latterly as Deputy Chief Security Officer for HMRC.
Previous roles have included work with the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in Afghanistan, MOD, and in helping to secure the 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games.
He is proud to be a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Information Security and is passionate about helping people protect themselves from cyber threats, regularly talking about the topic including on national TV and Radio.
