Tim Mitchell is a Senior Security Researcher and the cybercrime assessment lead in Secureworks’ Counter Threat Unit (CTU), a global team of experienced threat analysts who, through the application of established intelligence practices, deliver actionable and timely intelligence products on the threats most relevant to Secureworks' customers.

After over a decade spent investigating and tackling cybercrime, he is an authority on the subject. While he maintains an overarching view of cybercrime, he is a subject matter expert on ransomware and the specific threat it poses to organizations.

Prior to joining Secureworks in 2015, Tim spent over 12 years working in intelligence analysis roles across a variety of disciplines at the National Crime Agency (NCA).
