Professor Joinson is an inter-disciplinary behavioural scientist who conducts research on the interaction between human behaviour and technology, with specific focus on cybersecurity and online safety, privacy and identity, and computational methods / data analytics in social science. He has extensive experience of applying behavioural science and security to public policy and practice, and is currently co-director of the University of Bath Institute for Digital Security and Behaviour (www.idsb.ac.uk), as well as a member of the leadership team for the EPSRC Network ‘Cyber Research and Networking Environment’ (www.crane.ac.uk) where he leads the future and emerging technologies work. He has published over 120 articles and papers that have been cited over 22,000 times.
