Daniel is a Professor of Cyber Security at Lancaster University and co-director of Security Lancaster. His research focuses on Cyber Risk Management and Threat Intelligence for complex systems. This include developing qualitative and quantitative approaches to understand the complexities of digitally enabled threat actors. Daniel collaborates across disciplines to explore the broader implications of technology on security and defence policy. He actively engages with businesses, the public, and government to foster rational discourse on cyber security.
