Our purpose is to make great leaps in data science and artificial intelligence research to change the world for the better.  We are delivering against a number of missions which sit under our Defence and National Security Grand Challenge: "To protect the UK, its people and the places they inhabit". These will focus on scientific areas such as multi-modal data and signals analysis, human machine teaming, behavioural analysis, cyber security, reinforcement learning, AI explainability, model security, privacy technology, and digital twins.
