Thomas Bristow is a Cyber Security Certification Specialist at the UK Civil Aviation Authority, specialising in the cyber security applications of new technologies within the civil aviation sector. His work has covered many different industries such as RPAS (drones), Air Traffic Control Systems, and initial airworthiness of commercial aircraft. More recently Thomas has investigated the applications of quantum technologies within civil aviation and their cyber security implications, going so far as to co-author CAP3200: Quantum Technologies Strategic Insight Report. Beyond his work at the CAA, Thomas volunteers as a STEM ambassador and CyberFirst Champion, as he helps bridge the gap between students and the cyber security industry.
