Kathryn Magnay leads the cross-UKRI National Security and Defence Programme, investing in research and innovation that delivers against national need and enables growth for the UK economy and society. Kathryn Magnay had previously been Deputy Director at EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council) with responsibility for EPSRC’s ‘AI, Data and Digitalisation: Driving Value and Security’ priority. In this role Kathryn has led the UKRI wide review of Artificial Intelligence and works with Councils across UKRI to progress digital transformative technologies.
