Daniel Bird MBE, Field CTO, EMEA, Horizon3AI, is a telecommunications and information systems specialist with over twenty years’ experience delivering secure digital capabilities for defence and national security. He began his career with the British Army’s Royal Corps of Signals in 1998, supporting high-readiness forces on operational tours across Africa and the Middle East. He later commanded a critical national infrastructure data centre hosting global services. His senior roles include positions at NATO’s Allied Rapid Reaction Corps Headquarters, Innovation Scout on a four-star Defence initiative, and technical liaison to US Joint Special Operations Command. He holds degrees in military information systems, defence technology, and business, and was appointed MBE in 2019 for services to Defence enhancing international security partnerships.
