A Sustainable Venue

The ICC Wales achieved the Green Dragon Level 3 Award which includes highlights such as:

  • No single use plastic in venue (water fountains available throughout)
  • 15,000 shrubs & trees planted on the grounds
  • Smart LED lighting throughout and tinted glass to reduce heat gain from sunlight
  • Recycling stations throughout – resulting in zero waste to landfill

Building on this, we’re taking every step possible to deliver an incredible event with as little impact to our planet as possible. We are working with carefully selected suppliers to ensure that the exhibition zone is created with as close to zero materials going to landmass as possible, stands will be produced solely from modular, reusable or recyclable elements and we will be encouraging all space-only stands to adhere to the same principles.

The caterers at the venue provide healthy locally sourced food. The venue are also focused on reducing food waste. Designated food waste and recycling bins will be circulated around the venue. Any wasted food is recycled to create low carbon electricity.
