In our talk “The Floor is Lava” Leonardo will outline in real terms, the nature of the cyber threat facing UK Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) in 2025. 

We will look at real world attacks across the globe impacting numerous industries and sectors and take a deep dive into the corelations in tactics and techniques used to enable the Cyber kill chain, explaining the core impacts of the evidenced attack/s. 

We will go on to explore how the Blue Team’s resiliency controls and techniques might be used to create a persistently hostile environment for attackers to counter these prevalent threats within CNI estates. There will be a focus on enabling safe service continuity and not attacker deniability, looking at not just typical operational deployment patterns, but also the associated supply chain and their enablement of the threats. 

Lastly, Leonardo will explore how such approaches might evolve with the advent of AI with a look into the ‘threats of tomorrow’. We will explore how the persistently hostile environment Blue Teams create might be further hardened against more bleeding edge threats.
