The CYBERUK 2024 theme examines how future technology represents significant opportunity – from employing AI in pioneering healthcare research, to using quantum computers to solve problems like climate change and food security. To harness the benefits, the cyber security sector must ensure that these new and developing technologies are secure by design and, where vulnerabilities do exist, we need to secure them quickly.

Yet the rapid, unpredictable development of technology gives equal opportunity to our adversaries. We need to understand how those who seek to do us harm will take advantage of new developments, and we need to ensure our ecosystem is resilient against these evolving threats.
